The Process
Dye based inks are directly printed into the open pores of the oxide layer. After drying the print, the pores are sealed in boiling water. The dye is henceforth protected by a colorless, transparent, hard oxide. The outcome is a durable, highvalue product with excellent scratch and chemical resistance. Using digital printing, photorealistic prints can be directly generated from image files to the substrate – without time-consuming intermediate steps and without additional charge in case of single pieces.
